Statement of Faith

We Believe:

  • in the Bible as the Divinely inspired Word of God. In its original text it is inerrant and infallible and our sole source of faith and practice. (1 Cor. 2:10–26; 2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:16)

  • in one God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All these

  •  are one God, having the same nature and perfections and worthy of worship. (Genesis 1:1–2; Isaiah 6:8; Matthew 3:16–17)

  • in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:1; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20)

  • in the absolute inability of man to save himself from eternal punishment by his works. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 3:23)

  • in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in hell. (Acts 24:15; Revelation 20:5 & 6, 12–15)

  • that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died for our sins. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21–23; Luke 1:30–35)

  • in the finished work of Christ, who through His sacrifice on the cross, His resurrection from the dead and His ascension to heaven, has effected complete and eternal redemption. God set His seal of approval on the work of Christ by enthroning Him at His own right hand in heaven and that He is the Head of the church, the Lord of the individual, the High Priest over the house of God and the Advocate in the family of God, interceding on our behalf. (1 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 10:10; Hebrews 10:12; Hebrews 9:24)

  • man is destined to die once and then face judgment. (John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:12; Hebrews 9:27)

  • in the immediate and eternal salvation of every person who truly believes in Christ. (Luke 23:43; 1 John 3:2)

  • that all who in faith receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord by calling on His name, are born of the Holy Spirit, indwelt by the Holy Spirit and by the Holy Spirit baptized into the body of Christ, the church. (John 1:12 & 3:16; Ephesians 1:13–14; 1 Corinthians 6:19)

  • that those who are saved are saved by grace, which grants them not only the faith to believe, but also works in them to act according to His good purpose. (2 Timothy 2:11; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 11:36; Ephesians 2:7)

  • that the early Church met together and “continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” — God’s pattern for the church today. (Acts 2:42)

  • that we will not suffer God’s wrath, but in a personal, imminent, and pre-millennial coming of the Lord on the clouds in the air to rapture (catch up) the church at the first resurrection. (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–17)

  • that Christ will return to the earth on a White Horse and that we will reign with Christ a thousand years, after which the dead will be judged at the Great White Throne of Judgment. (Revelations 19:11–16; Revelations 20:11–15)

  • in a literal 6 day creation and a young earth. (Genesis 1 & 2)
